Sun Zu

Kaleb Sworland,  aka – Sun Zu, is a recording artist that grew up in Florida and moved to Los Angeles, California during his senior year of highschool. Throughout his childhood, he grew accustomed to a lot of systemic issues like drug abuse, violence, and poverty through his immediate family and witnessing people around him go through the same thing. That being said, his ultimate goal is to utilize music to make a positive impact on people who can resonate with that. Artists who inspire Sun Zu the most  are Flying Lotus, Kendrick Lamar, D’Angelo, Terrace Martin, Curtis Mayfield, Hiatus Kaiyote, and Kamasi Washington. He grew up listening to as much music as he could; more specifically jazz, soul, Hip-Hop, electronica, and funk. He loves to compose and play original pieces centered around experimental jazz with touches of soul production/vocals overall encompassing a hip hop execution.
